BRADENTON (SNN TV) – A restaurant specializing in genuine Hungarian cuisine relocates from St. Armands Circle to the Bradenton Riverwalk.

Vernona Gourmet has taken over the location of Theresa’s Restaurant at 711 Manatee Avenue East. This is on the newly expanded eastern side of the Riverwalk that has an observation tower and boardwalk to Manatee Mineral Springs Park. The Herald-Tribune’s dining editor recommends the goulash, the karpati borzaska, the chicken paprikash, and their savory crepes filled with shredded chicken or mushrooms.

On Mondays at 6:30 p.m., jazz keyboardist and singer Robbie Rose hosts Music Jazz Night at Vernona.

Vernona joins a row of restaurants on Manatee Avenue including Edelweiss, Oscura, Central Cafe, and El Primo Taqueria.
