NASHVILLE- A former Cardinal Mooney High School player falls to his death during a July Fourth evening celebration in Nashville. Herald Tribune reporter Carlos Munoz confirming the man was 22-year-old Gage Schrantz.

According to the Metro Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee,  Schrantz, a former Cardinal Mooney High School baseball player died Thursday when he tried to jump from the roof of the Ernest Tubb Record Sop to the roof of the Downtown Sporting Club and fell 50 feet down to the pavement.

Detectives ruled the fall as accidental.
