BIRMINGHAM, AL (SNN-TV) – The USFL returned this weekend in Birmingham, Alabama with a familiar name on the Suncoast making big-time plays.
Former Booker High School star, Osirus Mitchell, was selected in the 15th round of the USFL Draft by the Birmingham Stallions, and was on the receiving end of the Stallions first TD of the season.
Stallions QB J’Mar Smith found the former Mississippi State star in the back of the endzone in the first quarter for the score. The Stallions would defeat the New Jersey Generals, 28-24.
Mitchell averaged 21.7 yards per catch and had 25 touchdown receptions in his senior season at Booker in 2015.
