BAY AREA- Discipline, Integrity,  and responsibility. Lessons Hanna Labrecque says growing up in the military taught her.

“I would not change anything in my life as a military kid growing up,” said Labrecque. “I loved everything and who I am coming out of it.”

Labrecque parents served in United States Air Force. Her father retired as a Major, and her mother a Lieutenant Colonel. She says it’s an experience unlike any other, always meeting new people and making new friends.

“I guess the military you’re not just your family you acquire multiple families,” said Labrecque.

Although Labrecque loved growing up in the military, she says it could be difficult at times.

“So to be away from periods of time I mean they would miss Christmas, holidays, Thanksgiving, birthdays, those things I guess are hard,” said Labrecque.

Now, a registered nurse, Labrecque is following in her parent’s footsteps and answering the call to join Navy.

“I think I’ve wanted to do something more,” said Labrecque. “I think I want to give back to like the life that I grew up with to give back to those military people.”

Watching her parents selflessly serve, inspired her to help others.

“I think both my parents are awesome I’m very proud of both of them you know I wouldn’t I wouldn’t be who I am today if I didn’t have my parents,” said Labrecque.

Grateful for her past, and looking forward to her future, Labrecque says it’s important to support our military.

“This one person is giving up everything so you can live free,” said Labrecque.
