NORTH PORT (WSNN) – FBI agents swarmed Brian Laundrie‘s home around 10:00 a.m. on Monday.

The FBI was armed with a search warrant, and the agents say this is an active crime scene in connection with the Gabby Petito case. North Port Police officers have placed crime scene tape around the home and have blocked off the whole street to allow for the investigation to occur.

The FBI agents interrogated the parents and were bringing in evidence boxes into the home. And tow trucks came to pull out the mustang as part of the investigation.

Before this happened, the North Port police officers called off the search for Brian at the Carlton Reserve In Venice.

“I don’t believe there’s any way he could be up here,” North Port resident, Bob McDermott said. “There’s no shelter, there are ants everywhere, if you walk around, you’re going get ants on you. And there’s pigs and vultures. I just don’t see anybody trying to find a place up there.”

The police department spokesperson said they believe they’ve exhausted all avenues in searching this area. But law enforcement agencies continue to search for Brian Laundrie.

The latest update on GabbyPetito‘s case is just devastating. The FBI agents announced yesterday, they found a body that matches the description of Gabby. So, I reached out to the godmother yesterday, to send my condolences, not expecting a response, but she did. Flora Rocco said her heart is shattered. And she prays no one ever has to feel this way. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Petito family.

Brian Laundrie’s attorney announced there will be a presser held tomorrow at 1 pm in New York.
