VENICE – A fatal crash in southern Sarasota County shuts down two lanes on I-75.
The crash happened just after 5 pm Saturday evening near mile marker 189 near Venice. The Florida Highway Patrol has confirmed to SNN one person died as a result of the crash.
FHP has not released any information on victim at this time. The crash shut down the two far right lanes for several hours while crew investigated.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. We’ll be sure to update you with the latest information as soon as it becomes available.
