NORTH PORT – A homeowner is lucky to be alive after a car crashed into the side of his home.
It happened just before two Wednesday afternoon on Lemay Lane and Cranberry Blvd in North Port. Leaving behind a giant hole and debris on the side of the home.
Spokesman for the north port police department tells SNN the diver and car were involved in a hit & run earlier in the day.
The driver was flown to nearby hospital and suffered serious head injuries. One homeowner was inside – sleeping at the time of the crash. They were not injured and declined to speak to reporters.
Officers are still determining the cause of the crash.
