PORT CHARLOTTE – A drag race in Charlotte County is caught on camera.

According to NBC-2, a dash camera caught two cars and a motorcycle revving their engines and peeling off from a stoplight at West Tarpon Boulevard in Port Charlotte.

After seeing the video, Lieutenant Greg Bueno of the Florida Highway Patrol called it textbook drag racing and said, “That’s a game. We don’t play games on our roadways.”

If someone is found guilty of racing, their license could be revoked.

Charlotte County deputies say they’ll be on the lookout for more racers in the area.
