SARASOTA –

For the third straight year Riverview will clash with Orlando Dr. Phillips in the postseason.

“If you look at them on film they all look like they squat 500 pounds. They are strong looking kids and they can really run. But you know we have them at home in our backyard, and hopefully the third time is the charm for us,” Head Coach of the Rams Josh Smithers.

Both the nine and three Rams and the seven and five panthers followed a similar route to get to this point.

“They had some growing pains like we did earlier on in the season. They have really hit a stride here, and when you put the film on they look like the Dr. Phillips from last year and the previous years.”

The fact of the matter is, only eight teams have made it as far as Coach Josh Smithers’s team.

“You want everyone to enjoy it. Especially on Thursday during Thanksgiving, just reflect on the season and how fortunate where are to be here. But then after that we need to get back to business.”

Riverview hoping to keep the dream alive, while Dr. Philips eyes another November victory at the Ram Bowl… It all goes down Friday under the lights.
