LAKEWOOD RANCH (SNN-TV) – Last October, Dick Vitale was diagnosed with lymphoma, earlier today the college basketball legend and Suncoast resident shared some outstanding news.
Dickie V announced via his Twitter this evening, that his doctors officially declared him cancer free.
The icon has kept his fans updated on Twitter throughout his cancer journey, and now, Vitale had the pleasure of sharing the best update of them all. Along with his lymphoma diagnosis, Dickie V learned last December that he had dysplasia on his vocal cords. Forcing a break from speaking for Vitale for over a month, thus causing him to miss much of the college basketball season.
Following the cancer free diagnosis, sports fans can only hope to see Dickie V back on the call for the upcoming season.
