SARASOTA- The Florida Department of Health in Sarasota will host a free, first of its kind Teen Health Fair, this Saturday.
Raffles, performances, free STD and health screenings will be available at the first annual event. According to the Department of Health, the event focuses on bridging the gap between teens and health and wellness services on the Suncoast.
Health Educator, Alexis Thompson says many teens thinking about their future could benefit from health and wellness services available to them now.
“This is a great way for them to get on that track, they can reach their future goals, and all of their holistic wellness and health is in order,” said Thompson.
The Teen Health Fair is scheduled for Saturday, September 21 from 10 a.m. To 2 p.m. at the Ringling College of Art and Design, Goldstein Library.
