PUNTA GORDA – Some changes coming to the Charlotte County School Board has their staff excited. Cara Reynolds has now been selected to be the new member of the Charlotte County School Board. The school would also like to receive more money from a county-wide tax increase to add to the school district’s resources.

“We’re going to have to get to work because it brings dollars to our district that definitely needs it in order to pay our staff better and make sure we’re competitive to retain and recruit new staff members.” Charlotte County Schools Superintendent Steve Dionisio said.

Some of the new staff members Dionisio would like to recruit include mental health specialists and more tutors for different school subjects.
