INGLEWOOD, CA (SNN-TV) – Six years after returning to Los Angeles with helmet in hand, the Rams raised those helmets to the sky yesterday in victory.

After two huge third and fourth down stops by Rams defensive juggernaut, Aaron Donald, L.A. sealed a 23-20 victory over Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI at SoFi Stadium.

The Rams won it after blowing an early 10-point lead and stumbling into a 10-point deficit.

They won by coming back in the fourth quarter on a 79-yard, game-winning touchdown drive with Matthew Stafford finding Cooper Kupp for a go-ahead one-yard touchdown with 1:25 to play.

With 8 receptions for 92 yards, and two touchdowns, Kupp, the Eastern Washington product with no offers out of high school, was named Super Bowl MVP.

After grabbing the brass ring, Aaron Donald, who made the game-clinching play to end the game, now, per reports, is entertaining retirement, possibly exiting the game at the peak of his performance.

“Legacy’s are built not from individuals stats but team success. The ultimate goal was to always be a world champion, I’ve been saying that for the past few years. To finally get the opportunity to feel this, to be living in it right now at this time, this moment…I don’t know, it’s hard to put in words right now.”

There had been no public indications that Donald was considering retirement until Rodney Harrison said on NBC’s pregame broadcast that the Donald told him “there’s a strong possibility” he could retire if the Rams won the Super Bowl.
