VENICE (SNN-TV) – Both Venice High quarterback Ryan Browne and Coach John Peacock have finished second in the Florida Dairy Farmers media voting for Mr. Football and Florida Coach of the Year.
Browne finished with 130 points and nine first-place votes to end behind only Lakeland Lake Gibson High running back Jaylon Glover, who had 155 points and 10 first-place votes.
Peacock was runner-up to only Matt Thompson of Tampa Jesuit. Peacock got 140 points and eight first-place votes. Thompson received 157 points and 10 first place votes.
