BRADENTON (SNN TV) – A Bradenton man is charged for allegedly killing a pedestrian and fleeing the scene of a death in a three vehicle crash.

Florida Highway Patrol says on Friday evening, 21-year-old Gustavo DeLeon was traveling west on State Road 70 as he approached the intersection at U.S. 41. A 24-year-old woman was driving east on SR 70 and attempted to make a left turn on U.S. 41.

A bus with passengers was also traveling east on SR 70 and approaching the same intersection, while a 60-year-old pedestrian was standing on the median on SR 70, west of 41.

DeLeon crashed into the SUV then collided with the pedestrian. The pedestrian then collided with the bus and was pronounced dead on scene.

DeLeon fled the scene but was found and booked into the Manatee County jail for leaving the scene with death, vehicular homicide, and having no drivers license.

The woman in the SUV had a 3-year-old in the car who suffered minor injuries. All injuries on the bus were minor as well.
