BRADENTON (SNN TV) – Apartments, condos, retail, and a new hotel are closer to coming to downtown Bradenton.

The Herald-Tribune reports both the Bradenton City Council and Manatee County Commission seem poised to move forward with plans to sell the Bradenton City Hall property, located on the waterfront along the Manatee River.

The city council ranked a proposal by L&L Development Group as their top choice of three developers who want to purchase that property.

L&L proposed a mixed-use development that includes a 130-room hotel, 350 apartment units, 80 condos, and 30,000 square feet of retail space including a rooftop venue. There’s currently one rooftop venue at the Oak & and Stone.

The decision isn’t final and could change depending on negotiations. However, the Bradenton City Council told city staff to prioritize negotiation efforts. There are also plans to host a workshop to discuss sticking points.
