SARASOTA (WSNN) – As protests spread across the nation over George Floyd, people on the Suncoast join the movement.
Black lives matter protestors came out near Sarasota City Hall alongside Rent protestors. They have signs saying “Stop Racist Police Terror!”
Former police officer, Derek Chauvin, is charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter in the death of George Floyd. He was an unarmed Black man.
People on the Suncoast say they’re fighting against oppression and racism.
