NAPLES (SNN-TV) – Sunday saw the conclusion of the 2022 Chubb Classic, with golf legend Bernhard Langer capturing his 43rd victory on PGA TOUR Champions, slating him two behind all-time leader Hale Irwin.

Langer wrapped up the three rounds tournament play -16, shooting 200.

The 64-year old, Langer, becomes the first four-time winner of the Chubb Classic, with his last win coming in 2016, and went wire-to-wire for the third time.

With the 2022 tour schedule having just begun, Langer likes his current position.

“Its great to get off to a good start in the new year, in the new season and be up their near the top of the Schwab Cup again. [Miguel-Angel] Jimenez is ahead of me, but just to have a good performance like this is confidence building.”

The PGA TOUR Champions next event is the Cologuard Classic, which will tee off this Friday in Tucson, Arizona.
