SARASOTA – At least one person is dead after a crash at I-75 and Fruitville Road in Sarasota.
The crash happened just before 3:30 this afternoon. The southbound on-ramp is closed right now and is expected to remain closed for a while.
Deputies and Troopers are on scene. The Florida Highway Patrol website is calling this a fatality.
Sarasota county tells SNN two people were transported to local hospitals. Deputies are asking drivers to avoid the area and seek an alternate route. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating.
