PORT CHARLOTTE (SNN-TV) – Another Suncoast star has also impassioned his life following his career in the world of coaching.

Former Port Charlotte High School star and former Super Bowl Champion with the New Orleans Saints, has found has a new gig in coaching at Limestone University in Gaffney, SC, as the defensive line coach.

The coaching bug bit following Hargrove’s playing career when he moved to Southern Illinois to coach at Christopher-ZeiglerRoyalton High School.

The collegiate avenue came about when Limestone began to fill their staff with former NFL veterans, including Jerricho Cotchery, Nate Garner and head coach Mike Furrey.

The idea of giving back to the younger generation through the game that he loves made the transition to coaching simple.

“Working with people, especially young people, and giving them the tools to help change their lives and navigate their lives. It’s been a passion. I’ve been trying to merge all those worlds: coaching, training, being an education tech, the behavior model is really something I use a lot. I try to help young people grow, and even adults.”

Hargrove and the Limestone Saints open their season at Gardner-Webb University on September 1st.
