MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (SNN TV) — Manatee County is asking residents to make room for love, even if it’s temporary.

In a social media post, Manatee County shared that more than 100 dogs are at the Palmetto shelter and 40 at the Bishop Animal Shelter.

The county said the Animal Welfare team is in “urgent” need of fosters so more space will be available for strays and daily intakes.

You can help even if you can only foster for a few days. All supplies are provided. To get started, email Lauren.Tryon@mymanatee.org.
