SARASOTA (SNN-TV) – Andre Johnson has resigned as Booker High School boys basketball coach, leaving new Athletic Director Scottie Littles looking for a replacement.
Johnson was named the Tornadoes head coach last June. In his lone season as head coach, Booker went 4-18.
A former Tornado himself, Johnson was the FACA District Class 4A Player of the Year after averaging 19 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists as a senior with Booker in 2014.
Johnson replaced Markus Black, another former standout who helped the Tornadoes to a state title in 2006.
