SARASOTA (WSNN) – All Faiths food bank is facing twin dangers with a pandemic and now, hurricane season.

As they continue to provide food for people during the pandemic, CEO, Sandra Frank says they need to prepare for the hurricanes and power outages that may come.

They leased an additional warehouse for Meals Ready-to-Eat, water bottles, and non-perishables.

She says the demand for food during this time has exceeded anything they ever imagined, causing complications.

“Logistically we’ve had.. securing additional supplies of food and water.”

Frank says the food bank is ready to respond with training, resources and communication, already in place.

She says as part of the emergency response initiative, the food bank needs to prepare to serve people throughout the state. And also provide food to other food banks in Florida.
