SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. (SNN) — After a three-year hiatus due to Covid-19, People, Ideas, Nature, and Creativity (PINC) is set to return to Sarasota.
Hosted by DreamLarge, PINC is a one-day conference where international speakers of all different disciplines, skills, and talents tell their stories.
It will take place at the Sarasota Opera House on Dec. 7.
Tickets went on sale on Sunday. Those who want tickets better act fast, since they’re typically sold out each year. DreamLarge caps the conference at 500 people.
“I would urge anyone who has an interest in looking at the world differently, in being curious about issues our world faces, to sign up as soon as possible because they will sell out again this year,” said Anand Pallegar, the founder of DreamLarge.
The event features 12 thought-provoking speakers sharing their stories of inspiration, including wrestler, MMA fighter, and Guinness World Record holder, Zion Clark.
Clark is also an author, speaker, and subject of the Emmy Award-winning Netflix documentary, Zion.
“Really use this day to address key issues that our community is facing, or issues that are relevant in the world that we believe our community should be aware of,” said Pallegar.
This year, PINC is partnering with the Ringling College of Art & Design and the All Star Children’s Foundation (ASCF).
“Trauma-informed care is at the core of what we really do and we’re hoping together to kind of bring awareness to trauma-informed communities, and to boost up the people that are living here,” said ASCF’s Creative Director Alexa Whipple.
They say PINC is a celebration of everything in the community and that it’s known as the most creative day in Sarasota.
“We’ve heard it described as a bubble bath for the brain, the most transformative event that’s taken place in Sarasota,” said Pallegar.
DreamLarge is having a sale on tickets through Oct. 31.
