MANATEE COUNTY- Manatee Pride takes over the Bradenton Riverwalk, Saturday.
The sixth annual pride event benefits Prism Youth, a non-profit organization that aims to support encourage and empower LGBTQ youth in Manatee County. President, Valerie Fisher says Manatee Pride gives the LGBTQ community a sense of belonging.
“Being around other people seeing people who come all stripes of life that are kind and loving support and loving of them it just enhances their experience of who they are validates them, and gives them sometimes even the courage to go on being who they really are.”
Fisher says all are welcome to the family friendly event.
