SARASOTA (SNN TV) – “Done with the Gun” is a success according to the Sarasota Police Department.
SPD says the event was held Saturday. 30 firearms were turned in to be safely disposed of. People were given free gun locks to secure their other firearms.
People turned in firearms ranging from a sawed-off shotgun — which was turned in by a woman whose late husband had a firearm collection — to rifles, a BB gun, handguns, and others.
