BRADENTON (SNN-TV) – Earlier today, over in Bradenton, the State College of Florida Manatees kick-started their season with their 2021 media day.

Coach Tom Parks and his team are looking to improve upon their COVID-shortened season last year. The Manatees return 5 key players from last year: Javon Bell, Christian Nieto, Darik Tannis-Harriet, Kwo Agwa and leading scorer Pop Weathers. Coach Parks, entering his 4th year as SCF head coach has goals of winning a lot of games and making a post-season run, and helping make his players Division-I aspirations come true.

Coach Parks leads a passionate group of guys, but it’s also accompanied by a passionate and fiery coaching staff and personnel.

For fans looking to attend a Manatees home game, their first game at Hal Chasey Gymnasium is their exhibition contest with Pasco-Hernando State College on October 23rd at 2pm.
