SARASOTA – It’s the first-ever virtual Sarasota Film Festival, and now we’re learning more about the lineups.
President, Mark Famiglio says COVID 19 didn’t shut down the event, it just postponed it.
So now, SFF will host an online film viewing experience, featuring documentaries, shorts, kid films, and more.
It will run from Monday, April 27 to Sunday, May 3.
Some of the films include ‘A Way out,’ ‘American Trail,’ and ‘Born to Be.’ The lineup is live online.
Live Q & A’s with some actors will take place throughout the week as well.
Famiglio says they curated a smaller lineup than what they would have shown, which is usually more than 200 films.
“This first cash of films is going to be composed of 20 feature films and 40 shorts, so we’re showing 60 films,” Famiglio said. “And a component of that is going to Florida-based films.”
Famiglio says they plan to add more films to the platform over time. Tickets will go on sale on the first day of the festival. For more information on tickets and the line-up, you can visit their website.
