SIESTA KEY BEACH (WSNN) – Memorial Day weekend did not fail to meet expectations even during a pandemic.
People could not stay away from having some fun in the sun.
Saturday morning, Siesta Key beach saw many people on it sands.
Law enforcement had extra patrol on the beaches in Sarasota County. The Sarasota Sheriff’s office reported the parking lot was full around 10 am.
But while the beach was crowded, families maintained their distance. Siesta Key employees wore masks and put cones in place to separate people in lines.
For the most part, people cooperated.
