SARASOTA – 302 elders care facilities throughout 45 Florida counties have staff or residents testings positive for COVID-19, and now we finally know where.
A full listing of the facilities was released by the Florida Department of Health following Gov. Ron DeSantis’ orders.
This comes following pressure onto DeSantis from advocates and families demanding to know whether their loved ones were safe.
According to the Florida Department of Health there are 3,800 assisted living or nursing homes within the state. The listing shows five affected homes in Charlotte County, eight in Manatee and 10 in Sarasota.
