BRADENTON – One business in Bradenton is providing a new style of therapy….rage therapy.

“It could be a family setting,” said Bryan Uzbay. “You can get a good little workout in while also finding a cathartic experience where you can let out any anger or frustrations or really just come in have a good laugh, listen to some good music and just break some stuff,”

SMASHED! A Smash Room Experience located at 441 Cortez Road West in Bradenton provides all your typical rage room supplies. Tons of fragile breakable material, and bats, sledgehammers, and golf clubs to break them. All you provide is the rage and desire to break some stuff.

“Something that we like to do is with each ticket you get a large electronic item so lets say like a printer or like a large radio,” said Uzbay.

Uzbay, a store manager at the only rage room to be found on Suncoast, says SMASHED! opened their doors in June of last year. He says though business was slow to trickle in at first — since lock down restrictions have now let up more and more people are smashing the rage 2020 left behind.

“Normally if you break a plate at home you gotta deal with the mess,” said Uzbay. “But here you come in break it and we’ll deal with it up for you.”

While some studies say rage therapy doesn’t help solve your anger issues in the long run. It’s an experience that leaves you with a satisfying where the rule “You break it, you buy it” doesn’t apply.

SMASHED! is open seven days a week. They reserve smash sessions for private events like a company looking for a team building exercise, but open to the public on the weekends for your customizable rage therapy.
