SARASOTA – This week on Feel Good Friday love is in the air.

With Valentine’s Day just a couple of weeks away SNN’s Alejandro Romero shares with us how one artist is spreading his message of love here on the Suncoast and across the country.

By now many of us here on the Suncoast have seen Brandon Thrift’s artwork popping up everywhere in Sarasota.

But now the young artist is taking his message on the road as part of his Spread Love tour after a tumultuous start to the New Year.

“To breach basically the top corner of the United State of American and just spread the message and really try to bring some positivity and the love,” Brandon Thrift. “Try to bring love back to the people.”

Thrift’s Spread Love tour took him through various states along the east coast. He says he was impacted the most when he arrived to the nation’s capital.

“That was really disheartening. It really was an impactful scene, very impactful scene,” said Thrift. “All the more reasons to do what I’m doing.”

But bringing it back closer to home Thrift’s took on his biggest challenge yet – to spread the love with a mural of epic proportions.

Owner and head trainer of 10Ten Fitness Dylan Ulrich provided Thrift a blank canvas in the form of a nearly 20ft wall inside his gym.

He says Thrift’s message goes hand in hand with working on one’s fitness and health.

“It’s just like fitness you have to take action,” said Ulrich. “You can have the idea of fitness but if you don’t do something about it you can’t make a change.”

And though he can’t share what his next big masterpiece will be. Thrift says he hopes to continue to spread his message of love not only here on the Suncoast but around the world.

“Day by day, baby steps one day at a time man,” said Thrift. “I just want to keep going, keep the message going.”
