CLERMONT, FL (SNN-TV) – The Lakewood Ranch Lady Mustangs were back in Clermont at Legends Way Ballfields, looking to get back to their 2nd consecutive 7A State Final.
Following a 2 and a half hour lightning and rain delay, and with the help from Ella Coiner’s grand slam, the Lakewood Ranch Lady Mustangs look to “Run Everything Back Again” (R.E.B.A) tomorrow night in the finals, after defeating Western of Davie, 11-3.
The 11 runs are the most by a team in the tournament so far this year, aided by the aforementioned Coiner’s grand slam, a home run from Allyson Bruneman and timely RBI’s from Cassidy McLellan, Grace Hogie and Kelsey Vogel.
One of the nation’s top programs will now play another star-studded team in Lake Brantley for the 7A crown at 5:30 p.m. Saturday in Clermont.
