UPDATE: According to Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, the body of Stephanie Shenefield was discovered last night in a ditch in Palmetto.
A death investigation is now underway by detectives. The cause of death is still unknown at this time.
Manatee County Sheriff Wells is providing updates today at a press conference.

MANATEE COUNTY – The search continues for a missing Bradenton woman who was last seen almost a week ago.
“If anybody knows something, please, somebody knows something, somebody has seen something,” said Stephanie’s friend, Jennifer Massrock.
38-year-old Stephanie Shenefield, was last seen Friday, June 3rd in the 5300 block of 16th street E in Bradenton.
“She’s always on that phone, always on social media, or talking to us, or somebody, this is definitely out of character,” said Stephanie’s best friend, Gina Merrow.
Stephanie, a mother of two, is known as a hard worker working at least three different jobs. Her disappearance came as a surprise for friends and co-workers when she did not show up for work on Sunday.
“She’s never a no-show,” said Massrock.
Stephanie is described as 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing around 150 pounds, with dark hair. She has high blood pressure and recently began taking a new prescription, which she said was making her ill.
“What we have is a disappearance in the middle of the day,” said Stephanie’s roommate, Timothy Parker.
Her loved ones are coming together, concerned, plastering missing person’s flyers with a reward that has now gone up to $16,000, in hopes someone knows something.
“We all love her, and this is all so un-common for her right now, that we can’t fathom what could have happened,” said Parker.
“Please get in touch with anybody, be anonymous, just tell us where she’s at, we want to find her,” said Massrock.
