SARASOTA (SNN-TV) – Following Hurricane Ian, many things are still in disarray, including the high school football season. But tonight we indulged in some Monday Football Fever as Sarasota Christian played host to Academy at the Lakes, in a makeup game from last week.

Coach Jacob Spenn aimed to get SCS back to .500, in search of their 3rd win. In a game dominated through the air, early and often by freshman QB Ben Milliken, the Blazers came out victorious over the Wildcats, 42-12.

SCS’ WR Travis Miller finished with 154 yards and 4 TD’s on 7 catches, while WR Randall Collins added 7 receptions for 144 yards and 2 TD’s. Milliken completed 20 of his 35 passes for 381 yards and 6 TD’s.

Sarasota Christian now hits the road this Friday to take on Clearwater’s Lakeside Christian at 7pm.
