FLORIDA (SNN TV) – FEMA approves $150 million to Florida households.

More than 101,000 households have been approved money by the national organization. FEMA says this includes temporary lodging, home repairs, and other disaster related assistances. $72 million was in housing assistance.

The National Flood Insurance Program has received 31,000 claims from Florida policy holders and made $10 million in advance payments. The U.S. Small Business Administration is processing disaster loan applications and has approved $3.5 million as of Saturday.

To apply for FEMA disaster assistance, go online to disasterassistance.gov, use the FEMA app for smartphones, or call 800-621-3362 from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day. Help is available in most languages. If you use a relay service, such as video relay service (VRS), captioned telephone service or others, give FEMA the number for that service.
