MYAKKA CITY- If you’re interested in the Medieval era, the Woods of Mallaranny is the place to be this month.

The 18th annual Sarasota Medieval Fair is back.

The fair’s website is not exaggerating when they say you can enjoy the aroma of turkey legs and kettle corn here at the Sarasota Medieval Fair.

The fair runs every weekend between November 5th-27th. Community members can come out to support and enjoy Medieval themed family friendly activities in the Woods of Mallaranny.

“Here at the Sarasota Medieval fair I am teaching a class. I have a couple of students here, spreading the idea of blacksmithing. I love the fair, I’ve always loved the fair. Since I was a kid I’ve loved it. It’s a beautiful thing,” said fair vendor Thomas Littrell.

The Fair brings together local performers and vendors, and serves as a fundraiser to many different non-profit organizations.

Many attendees come every year and were looking forward to enjoying everything the fair had to offer.

“We’ve been going to these medieval and renaissance fairs now for 43 years. In fact, our son used to be a chess fighter when it was at the Ringling Museum. The people here are always warm and friendly. Always making new friends and meeting old ones,” said fair attendee, Phil Lieberman.

The fair is a creative and fun way community members can learn about the history of the Medieval era.

There were so many activities to participate in and different food to eat.
