SAINT PAUL, MN (SNN-TV) – A shorthanded Lightning team had their four-game winning streak snapped with a 5-1 loss to the Wild in Minnesota last night.

After starting on Tuesday in Chicago, Brian Elliott was back between the pipes again in the second half of the back-to-back with Andrei Vasilevskiy forced out of the lineup because of an illness. Cal Foote and Haydn Fleury drew back in with Zach Bogosian and Vladislav Namestnikov both out.

Vasilevskiy skated in warmups and backed up Elliott but was ultimately deemed unfit to play. Brayden Point scored Tampa Bay’s lone goal to extend his own point streak to six games.

Next up, the Bolts travel north to Winnipeg to face the Jets tomorrow night.
