TAMPA (SNN-TV) – After two losses at the end of the road trip in Minnesota and Winnipeg, a confident win over Columbus was very much needed to boost the confidence of the team as the Bolts play host to Vancouver tonight.

The Lightning scored six goals in a game for the fourth time this season, but most importantly, reacted to Jon Cooper’s message after the previous game and played with discipline, having to go on the penalty kill just once.

Going into tonight’s game against Vancouver, the Lightning are 6-4-0 in their last ten games. From a standings perspective, there isn’t a significant change of picture: the gap between the Lightning and the Toronto Maple Leafs has increased to six points, although the Bolts still have two games in hand.

Tonight will be the last home game for the next 10 days for the Bolts. On Saturday they’re heading to St. Louis and then they have games in Seattle, Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary.

The puck will drop tonight from Amalie Arena at 7pm.
