CINCINNATI, OH (SNN-TV) – After salvaging a win against Toronto after a disappointing series, the Rays hit the road to Cincinnati to start a three-game set with the Reds. The Rays couldn’t find a groove as TJ Friedl drove in four runs leading Cincinnati to victory over the Rays 8-1 last night.

Tampa Bay lost for the third time in four games since its 13-0 start. Josh Lowe homered for the Rays, and Randy Arozarena and Harold Ramírez each had two hits. With starters Zach Eflin and Jeffrey Springs sidelined by injuries, the Rays used Jalen Beeks as an opener. Beeks pitched three innings of one-run ball.

The Rays and Redlegs are back at it tonight, as LHP Nick Lodolo starts for Cincy against Rays rookie RHP Taj Bradley in his 2nd big-league start. First pitch is set for 6:40pm.
