PALMETTO (SNN-TV) – Universal Championship Wrestling. Not just pro wrestling, its an experience! Based in Palmetto, UCW continues to grow, as they’ve found a new venue to call home.

Universal Championship Wrestling co-owner, Jeff Crean, and his team are expanding upon recent success, as they move operations into a newer, larger venue. Following months of negotiation stemming from their success earlier this year at the Manatee County Fair, UCW will now call Veterans Hall on the Manatee County Fairgrounds, home.
The 18,000 square foot arena will allow UCW’s show sizes to double, even triple, in attendance, while also providing a more family-friendly atmosphere. Still new to the Suncoast, approaching the two year mark of shows, seeing growth of this magnitude allows members of the roster, superstars like Gariston Spears “The Chocolit Stud” to believe in the company’s vision moving forward.

The first show in the new venue, “Cosmic Collision” takes place this Sunday, June 18th on Father’s Day. The event will feature superstars like Spears, Dante Casanova, David Mercury, and the “Looks that Kill” Bryan Idol. A 24-year veteran, Idol is world traveled, having wrestled for various independent promotions, currently appearing weekly for the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). With his wealth of experience, Idol views UCW’s venue change as a sign that the company entrusts it’s wrestlers to deliver.

With increased attendance, vendor commitments, community involvement and room for further expansion, Crean and UCW are certain that Veterans Hall is the perfect fit for their product.
