SARASOTA (SNN TV) – Pretty soon, you’ll be able to land in Sarasota Bradenton International Airport and take a trolley to downtown Sarasota.

Sarasota County commissioners unanimously approved the service and purchase of two streetcars that’ll run every 20 to 30 minutes.

The Herald-Tribune reports the county expects to launch the program toward the end of the year.

The fare and routes haven’t been determined, but Sarasota County transit director Jane Grogg did propose a $2 fare in a presentation she gave to commissioners. And in a conceptual route, the streetcar will make several stops downtown before returning to the airport.

When the trolley is operational, it’ll run everyday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
