NORTH PORT (SNN TV) – The North Port City Commission will hold a discussion on the Warm Mineral Springs public-private partnership this Tuesday.

In a press release, the city of North Port says the commission outlined support for continuing discussions with the private developer.

After hearing from North Port residents, the Gulf Coast Community Foundation advised against holding community engagement sessions at this phase.

Staff are asking commissioners to provide direction for the private-public partnership, or P3. If the commission directs staff to proceed along the P3 route at Tuesday’s meeting, the next steps include negotiations, surveying the proposed building areas, and looking for opportunities for more community input.

The meeting begins at 10 a.m. July 25 at City Hall at 4980 City Hall boulevard.
