BABCOCK RANCH, Fla. (SNN TV) – A solar-powered Suncoast town will host the world’s largest solar-powered vehicle.
Babcock Ranch will welcome the SolarButterfly as part of its tour in North America. Solar butterfly is a 30-foot tiny house with solar panel-covered “wings” that power the Tesla towing it. The caravan is traveling across six continents.
The goal is to recognize and bring attention to renewable energy pioneers and the progress being made. An electric vehicle rally featuring nearly 100 vehicles will be held alongside the SolarButterfly demonstration.
The event is this Monday, August 28, at Babcock Ranch at 42850 Crescent Loop. It’ll take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Special guests include Kitson & Partners CEO Syd Kitson and SolarButterfly crew member Noël Heinz. Residents are welcome, but the event is not open to the general public.
