SARASOTA, Fla. (SNN TV) – A Sarasota music store that’s been around for 50 years is closing for good.
Fogt’s Music is closing permanently in September. In an announcement on its Facebook page, owner Gwen Fogt says she’s “truly blessed to have so many wonderful memories of employees and customers who have crossed our path.”
Fogt’s is a full-service musical instrument store serving Sarasota since 1973. The store will be open Tuesday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m, and Saturday from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. The store is selling its inventory at “greatly discounted prices.”
A retirement party and Open House Blues Jam will be hosted for Gwen Sunday, September 10. Gwen Fogt confirms people are invited to stop by between 2p-6p.
Fogt’s Music is located at 4209 South Tamiami Trail in Sarasota.
