MANATEE COUNTY- Incumbent Scott Hopes defeats Joe Stokes for Manatee School Board district 4 seat. Hopes was appointed to the board in 2017 by Governor Rick Scott. He says everyday he is reminded that he is a product of Florida’s public education system. He says it’s a combination of the teachers, staff and students, that make Manatee County great.
“We want our classroom educators to know that we deliver our services in the classroom, we produce our product in the classroom. It is our teachers, our classroom educators that are number one in the district,” said Hopes.
Hopes says the school board needs a plan that will lead them into the future for the next five and ten years.
