SARASOTA – In this week’s edition of Feel Good Friday, SNN’s Grant Boxleitner spent time at Church of the Palms In Sarasota, where organizers are getting ready for the Christmas Bazaar.

The Christmas Bazaar, which is held every other year, will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Campus Center, 3224 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota. More than 25 vendors are scheduled to bring their wares, along with many donated Christmas-themed items. People have been signing up for tables to sell their hand-made goods.

Some of the items available for sale include lighted candles, Christmas ornaments, stuffed animals, hand-stitched tables clothes, nutcrackers and wrapping paper are just some of the goods available. Organizers have been collecting gently-used and new donations, including crafts, for the event.

The Presbyterian Women organize the bazaar, donating the proceeds to several mission projects, including the church food pantry.

There will also be a bake sale. Organizers say the bazaar offers families a chance to stock up on Christmas decor while helping a good cause at the same time.

Moderator Linda Evans talks about the event and some of the beneficiaries. Catch Feel Good Friday, weekly on SNN, the Suncoast News Network.
