SARASOTA COUNTY- A Suncoast family says they are living their worst nightmare as they wait and see if and when their son Jimmy will come home.

“His daughter needs him, we all need him,” says Jimmy’s mother, Jennifer Butler. “We love him so much. We need answers and we want him home.”

A family in despair, praying for a safe return. Butler was last seen driving a 2002 Honda F-41 wearing a black biker jacket, driving down Gulf Blvd in South St. Petersburg on his way home. His girlfriend Katie Ayers says they bother share their locations on their phones.

“We just keep tabs on each other; we know where each other’s at all the time,” said girlfriend, Katie Ayers.

She was with him Saturday night and says she checked his location to make sure he got home safely.

“When I seen that he was approaching the highways I thought he would be ok and I got home, and we woke up and he wasn’t here,” said Ayers.

Jimmy’s father, Reid Butler says he is doing everything he can to find his son.

“Call sheriff’s office, police stations, jails, and hospitals from Lee county, South Lee County, Charlotte County, Sarasota County, Manatee County, Pinellas County, Hillsborough County, and all the way up to Citrus County, for some reason if he goes up to Citrus County,” said Jimmy’s father, Reid Butler.

Butler’s family is desperate for answers.

“I want my son home,” said Jennifer Butler. “Something is very very wrong. This is so out of character for him.”

“We’re in pieces, I’m in pieces,” said Ayers. “You’re my boyfriend; I want you to come home.”

The Butler Family is asking anyone with any information on Jimmy or his whereabouts’ to please reach out to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office
