LAKEWOOD RANCH – Craving some seafood and good entertainment? Wait no longer – the Seafood and Music Festival has arrived to Sarasota County.

More than a hundred people showed up to the inaugural Lakewood Ranch Seafood and Music Festival. The two day festivities are taking place on Main Street.
Nearly 10 different local musicians and vendors are providing the entertainment.

Tampa residents Susan Hessemer and Melia Soumah, neighbors,  made the hour journey south for a VIP experience. “Well, the food,” said Soumah.

“The food, of course and we like the alcohol and we’re VIP,” adds in Hessemer. “And because we’re VIP we got a hotel here in Sarasota, so we’re being safe,” said Soumah

The event is free to the public and offers a variety of seafood for just about anyone. The festival is open Saturday from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m.- 6 p.m.
