SARASOTA – Sarasota Police are investigating a serious vehicle crash involving a motorcycle at Midwest Parkway & Fruitville.
It happened just before 4 p.m., Sunday afternoon. According to a tweet from SPD the motorcyclist has been transported with critical injuries. The crash causing closures on eastbound lanes of Fruitville Road.
One witness says she saw the entire incident just feet from her home. “I saw them like crash together, and it was like the truck, the ruck was coming in to like over here and the motorcycle hit him cause of the truck went in like between them and the like the guy flew over,” Jariselle Rodriguez.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. No further information is available at this time.
